You do not have to be a member of the RHRC 24-Hour Fitness Center to attend the fitness classes. You can pay for the fitness classes individually.

Cardio & Strength

September 28, 2020 to November 19, 2020

This class utilizes weights as well as your own weight for strength, mixing in cardio to get the heart rate up and the blood pumping. It offers an amazing selection of cardio, strength, drills and skills for everyday living. This class is designed for progression, any fitness level encouraged to join.

For a multiple fitness class registration discount, you must call or come to the RHRC office to register.

Morning Yoga

September 28, 2020 to November 19, 2020

Learn Yoga basic moves, techniques for breathing and relaxation, and fundamental yoga positions. Our instructor provides helpful guidance for preventing and healing from injury. Paula provides opportunities to up-level - beginning to work toward more advanced poses.

Mats and blocks are available or you may bring your own.

Total Body Blast

September 28, 2020 to November 18, 2020

If you want the optimal mix of strength and cardio this is it. Challenge yourself to a complete body workout using Interval, Circuit and HIIT training with free weights, kettle bells, body weight and other fitness equipment. Don't forget a sweat towel, you will need it!

Restore and Stretch

September 28, 2020 to November 16, 2020

Restore the body by focused breathing and relaxing in a calming environment. Our stretching will target all parts of the body, but will focus on hips, hamstrings, and back. Poses are held for a longer time as we focus on breathing to give the body time to relax and open. This class is a must for all fitness levels, and especially great for those who want to add movement to their life.

Evening Yoga

September 28, 2020 to November 19, 2020

Yoga-style sessions include a flow of poses that help build strength and flexibility in a balanced way. Each class offers options to allow all participants to individualize the workout to make it more or less challenging. Experience the many physical and emotional benefits that yoga can offer.

Mats and blocks are available or you may bring your own.

Zumba

October 1, 2020 to November 19, 2020

ZUMBA® is a fusion of Latin and International music / dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, and based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO." The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

  • Michelle Carlson – Adult Dance
    Michelle Carlson – Adult Dance

    Michelle has been teaching dance classes to children and adults for 25 years, 9 of those years she owned The Dance Academy in Salina. She has taken teen dancers to competitions and college bowl games from California to Florida, and was the choreographer for the Holiday Bowl in San Diego in 2006. In 2012 Michelle moved to Wichita where she works with autistic students throughout Butler County schools. Michelle's goal is to make every student, young and not-so-young, enjoy moving to music and feel like a star.

  • Kim Wenger
    Kim Wenger

    Kim Wenger is a 200-hour registered adult yoga teacher and 95-hour registered children's yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her practice of yoga began in 2001 with the pregnancy of her first child, and her journey has continued to the present. She has taught yoga at RHRC since 2017 and loves sharing her practice with others. Kim lives in Wichita with her husband and 3 kids. She works full time for Wichita Public Schools. Join her for a relaxed yoga practice that is adaptable for all levels and set to contemporary music.

  • Amy Racchini - Restore and Stretch
    Amy Racchini - Restore and Stretch

    Amy has been in the fitness world for the past 10 years. Teaching water and land classes at area fitness centers. She lives here in Rose Hill with her husband and 5 kids. With a full schedule at home she continues to teach, because she has a passion to help people. She looks forward to serving the Rose Hill community.

  • Paula Hobson – Cardio and Strength, Evening Yoga, Personal Trainer
    Paula Hobson – Cardio and Strength, Evening Yoga, Personal Trainer

    Paula has always been interested in health and fitness of various forms. She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, NETA Certified Yoga Instructor, and an avid Belly dancer for many years. She has taught a variety of classes including Boot Camp, Yoga, Strength Training, Beginning Belly Dancing, as well as Personal Training. She loves working with people, help them achieve their goals, and having fun while doing it! Paula looks forward to rolling out a MASHUP® class - an energetic class, participants will experience a short, effective workout utilizing variable-intensity interval training (VIIT).

  • Raven (Melody Street) – Belly Dancing
    Raven (Melody Street) – Belly Dancing

    Raven has been dancing, teaching and performing in the Wichita area for many years. Raven has studied a variety of dance forms over the years, from traditional Middle Eastern Dance, American Tribal Style,folkloric, fusion, modern dance, with special emphasis on veil techniques (straight, circular, double circular veil), drum, finger cymbals, sword, tambourine, Spanish fan and recently flamenco. Raven has a special love for creating various styles of choreography. She works with a talented group of students who form her troupes Sahara Wind and Prairie Fire. Recent performances include guest performers at The Amira Dance Productions annual shows at the Orpheum Theater in Wichita, Kansas for over the past 10 years, the Great Plains Renaissance Festival held in Wichita, Kansas twice yearly since its beginning, performers at local MECDA shows, as well as the recently formed Heartland Dance Collective.

  • Kristal Burnison – Zumba
    Kristal Burnison – Zumba

    Kristal Burnison has been enjoying the fun of Zumba fitness for four years now. She began attending Zumba classes at RHRC because of the fitness, fun and closeness of the participants. After taking classes for two years, she was encouraged by her fellow Zumba classmates to get certified. Kristal has a positive and healthy influence on people’s lives and feels blessed to share it within the community. Zumba is perfect for every fitness level and it doesn’t even feel like you are working out! “Ditch the workout and join the party” with Kristal on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

  • Britta Layman - Total Body Blast, Cardio and Strength
    Britta Layman - Total Body Blast, Cardio and Strength

    Britta has enjoyed group fitness and wellness for about 20 years. She also has experience with running, weight lifting and more. Britta has lived in Rose Hill with her family for 15years and has enjoyed the RHRC amenities for just as long. She is excited to help others find happiness with exercise, believing there is never a bad day at the gym! Don’t miss out on opportunities to be the best you!
