Group Fitness Instructors

Kim Wenger

Kim Wenger is a registered yoga teacher.  Her practice of yoga began in 2001, and her journey has continued to the present.  She completed her 200 hour teacher training with Siva Yoga in May 2016.  During the warmer parts of the year she is the resident yoga teacher for Whole Foods Market in Wichita.  Kim is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance and lives in Wichita, Ks.  

Michelle Carlson – Youth and Adult Dance

Michelle has been teaching dance classes to children and adults for 25 years, 9 of those years she owned The Dance Academy in Salina. She has taken teen dancers to competitions and college bowl games from California to Florida, and was the choreographer for the Holiday Bowl in San Diego in 2006. In 2012 Michelle moved to Wichita where she works with autistic students throughout Butler County schools. She has been teaching All Star Dance classes at RHRC for a couple years, with performances and appearances at local events. Michelle's goal is to make every student, young and not-so-young, enjoy moving to music and feel like a star.

Jill Trujillo – Cardio

RHRC loves Jill whether she is teaching PiYo or Cardio or filling in for Yoga.  A Derby resident with 3 kids (ages 4, 7 and 10) she still has time to teach fitness in several varea fitness centers. Jill believes fitness is more than physical health … it is about mental health and being happy with YOU!

Kristal Burnison – Zumba

Kristal Burnison has been enjoying the fun of Zumba fitness for four years now. She began attending Zumba classes at RHRC because of the fitness, fun and closeness of the participants. After taking classes for two years, she was encouraged by her fellow Zumba classmates to get certified. Kristal has a positive and healthy influence on people’s lives and feels blessed to share it within the community. Zumba is perfect for every fitness level and it doesn’t even feel like you are working out! “Ditch the workout and join the party” with Kristal on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

Raven (Melody Street) – Belly Dancing

Raven has been dancing, teaching and performing in the Wichita area for many years.  Raven has studied a variety of dance forms over the years, from traditional Middle Eastern Dance, American Tribal Style,folkloric, fusion, modern dance, with special emphasis on veil techniques (straight, circular, double circular veil), drum, finger cymbals, sword, tambourine, Spanish fan and recently flamenco.   Raven has a special love for creating various styles of choreography.   She works with a talented group of students who form her troupes Sahara Wind and Prairie Fire.  Recent performances include guest performers at The Amira Dance Productions annual shows at the Orpheum Theater in Wichita, Kansas for over the past 10 years, the Great Plains Renaissance Festival held in Wichita, Kansas twice yearly since its beginning, performers at local MECDA shows, as well as the recently formed Heartland Dance Collective.

Paula Hobson – Cardio and Strength, Evening Yoga, Personal Trainer

Paula has always been interested in health and fitness of various forms. She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, NETA Certified Yoga Instructor, and an avid Bellydancer for many years. She has taught a variety of classes including Boot Camp, Yoga, Strength Training, Beginning Belly Dancing, as well as Personal Training. She loves working with people, help them achieve their goals, and have fun while doing it!
