You do not have to be a member of the RHRC 24-Hour Fitness Center to attend the fitness classes. You can pay for the fitness classes individually.

Cardio & Strength

January 2, 2023 to March 9, 2023

This class utilizes weights as well as your own weight for strength, mixing in cardio to get the heart rate up and the blood pumping. It offers an amazing selection of cardio, strength, drills and skills for everyday living. This class is designed for progression, any fitness level encouraged to join.

For a multiple fitness class registration discount, you must come to the RHRC office to register.

Morning Yoga

January 2, 2023 to March 9, 2023

Learn Yoga basic moves, techniques for breathing and relaxation, and fundamental yoga positions. Our instructor provides helpful guidance for preventing and healing from injury. Paula provides opportunities to up-level - beginning to work toward more advanced poses.

Mats and blocks are available or you may bring your own.

Evening Yoga

January 2, 2023 to March 9, 2023

Yoga-style sessions include a flow of poses that help build strength and flexibility in a balanced way. Each class offers options to allow all participants to individualize the workout to make it more or less challenging. Experience the many physical and emotional benefits that yoga can offer.

Mats and blocks are available or you may bring your own.

Zumba

January 4, 2023 to March 8, 2023

ZUMBA® is a fusion of Latin and International music / dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, and based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO." The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Strength and Flexibility

January 5, 2023 to March 9, 2023

This workout is designed to improve your overall fitness and strength, flexibility, and balance. The class starts with static stretching and each class will incorporate a variety of equipment and body weight exercises. This ultimate workout is for all fitness levels! Have fun and work hard.For a multiple fitness class registration discount, you must come to the RHRC office to register.

HIIT and Strength

January 16, 2023 to March 9, 2023

This class is a combination of high intensity interval training as well as strength training. The main goal of this class is to get your heart rate up and help improve the body as a whole. There will be a mix of upper body lower body and core workouts along with cardio incorporated throughout. All ages are welcome as these workouts can be done with whatever equipment is needed for your current level of fitness.

For a multiple fitness class registration discount, you must come to the RHRC office to register.


Instructors

  • Kim Wenger - Yoga
    Kim Wenger - Yoga

    Kim Wenger is a 200-hour registered adult yoga teacher and 95-hour registered children's yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her practice of yoga began in 2001 with the pregnancy of her first child, and her journey has continued to the present. She has taught yoga at RHRC since 2017 and loves sharing her practice with others. Kim lives in Wichita with her husband and 3 kids. She works full time for Wichita Public Schools. Join her for a relaxed yoga practice that is adaptable for all levels and set to contemporary music.

  • Amy Racchini - Strength &Flexibility, Cardio & Strength
    Amy Racchini - Strength &Flexibility, Cardio & Strength

    Amy has been in the fitness world for the past 10 years. Teaching water and land classes at area fitness centers. She lives here in Rose Hill with her husband and 5 kids. With a full schedule at home she continues to teach, because she has a passion to help people. She looks forward to serving the Rose Hill community.

  • Paula Hobson – Cardio & Strength, Yoga, Personal Trainer
    Paula Hobson – Cardio & Strength, Yoga, Personal Trainer

    Paula is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and NETA Certified Yoga Instructor. She has taught a variety of classes including Boot Camp, Yoga, Strength Training, Beginning Belly Dancing, as well as Personal Training. She loves working with people, help them achieve their goals, and having fun while doing it!

  • Raven (Melody Street) – Belly Dancing
    Raven (Melody Street) – Belly Dancing

    Raven has been dancing, teaching and performing in the Wichita area for many years. Raven has studied a variety of dance forms over the years, from traditional Middle Eastern Dance, American Tribal Style,folkloric, fusion, modern dance, with special emphasis on veil techniques (straight, circular, double circular veil), drum, finger cymbals, sword, tambourine, Spanish fan and recently flamenco. Raven has a special love for creating various styles of choreography. She works with a talented group of students who form her troupes Sahara Wind and Prairie Fire. Recent performances include guest performers at The Amira Dance Productions annual shows at the Orpheum Theater in Wichita, Kansas for over the past 10 years, the Great Plains Renaissance Festival held in Wichita, Kansas twice yearly since its beginning, performers at local MECDA shows, as well as the recently formed Heartland Dance Collective.

  • Kristal Burnison – Zumba
    Kristal Burnison – Zumba

    Kristal Burnison has been enjoying the fun of Zumba fitness for four years now. She began attending Zumba classes at RHRC because of the fitness, fun and closeness of the participants. After taking classes for two years, she was encouraged by her fellow Zumba classmates to get certified. Kristal has a positive and healthy influence on people’s lives and feels blessed to share it within the community. Zumba is perfect for every fitness level and it doesn’t even feel like you are working out! “
