Winter Program Guide 2019_20

Description

Don't miss out! Get your preschooler signed up, active in recreation, and involved in their first team sport. This is a developmental T-Ball program with age appropriate equipment. Teams will play actual games with no score kept. The kids will have a BLAST!


The fee includes team t-shirt and hat.

Description

Learn Yoga basic moves, techniques for breathing and relaxation, and fundamental yoga positions. Our instructor provides helpful guidance for preventing and healing from injury. Paula provides opportunities to up-level - beginning to work toward more advanced poses.


Mats and blocks are available or you may bring your own.

This class utilizes weights as well as your own weight for strength, mixing in cardio to get the heart rate up and the blood pumping. It offers an amazing selection of cardio, strength, drills and skills for everyday living. This class is designed for progression, any fitness level encouraged to join.



For a multiple fitness class registration discount, you must come to the RHRC office to register.

If you want the optimal mix of strength and cardio this is it. Challenge yourself to a complete body workout using Interval, Circuit and HIIT training with free weights, kettle bells, body weight and other fitness equipment. Don't forget a sweat towel, you will need it!

Description

Develop a foundation of knowledge and responsibility in horsemanship. Along with daily riding, participants will learn grooming skills, safety, equipment care and parts, trail riding, mounted games, horse anatomy and the basics to becoming a true horse person.

This year we will have longer days - camp goes until 5 pm now. On the last day of camp, at the end of the day, Jana and her staff will throw a big shindig for all the campers and their families! Enjoy hot dogs and fixin?s around a bonfire then take a leisurely tour of the ranch.

Participants must wear long pants, boots, and bring your sack lunch with a drink. Good behavior and listening skills are required. If participants arrive without their long pants and boots they will not be able to ride due to safety reasons. Helmets are provided! You are welcome to bring your own horse.

Only one camp this year so sign up early to assure a spot.

Taking a Belly Dance Class at Rose Hill may offer you more than just exercise. Our classes work with a number of dance styles and props. We learn to dance with the cane, a sword, play drums, finger cymbals and a variety of veil types.

Registration Deadline is Wednesday, June 17. If 5 teams are not signed up, the League will be cancelled.

Restore the body by focused breathing and relaxing in a calming environment. Our stretching will target all parts of the body, but will focus on hips, hamstrings, and back. Poses are held for a longer time as we focus on breathing to give the body time to relax and open. This class is a must for all fitness levels, and especially great for those who want to add movement to their life.

You can still walk, just observe the social distancing restrictions. Email lovina@rosehillrec.com with your team information.

Get your teams together to "Walk Kansas," a distance of 425 miles. Walkers only, no bicycle or running miles will count. Every team that reaches their goal will receive t-shirts. Teams will consist of 1 to 4 members. Team captains will be responsible for reporting team miles weekly. Kids are encouraged to participate with their own team or with their family!

OK Kids Day

OK Kids Day - Outdoor Kansas for Kids Day is designed to give kids of all ages a chance to experience the outdoors. This is FREE to everyone and includes a terrific BBQ Picnic. This great event provides a terrific way for families to spend time together outdoors. This is an enormous opportunity to introduce kids to new, fun, and exciting outdoor activities that they might not otherwise be able to enjoy. So come join us in celebrating the great Kansas outdoors and make this our biggest OK Kid's Day yet!
